Located on the southwest side of Chicago, West Englewood, one of the 77 community areas, ranks amongst the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city. Drive-by shootings, violent crimes, unemployment, and vacant plots have created a social problematic within the community.
An everyday struggle to preserve peace and allow normal life to take its course. The Peace House, a previously abandoned and up for demolition house offers diverse educational programs to the community as a whole, providing a ‘safe, inter-generational haven to children and at-risk community members.
