The China Academy of Art’s Folk Museum is situated within tea gardens on the outskirts of Hangzhou. The architecture is embedded in the landscape and depicts the tradition and culture of the place. The use of locally available materials and roof tiles gathered from old homes in the area gives the building a strong sense of belonging.
