Beirut, May 2023. Karim Nader invites Julien Lanoo to diagnose the condition in the present. In analog black and white, the photographer’s walk in the city is a contrasted surgery across its multiplicity, its dynamism, its multilayering. On the images, architecture, archaeology, fauna, flora and the lived human dimension purposefully overlap. The past has been particularly painful, this is not a reason to give up hope, in fact, a new cycle has already started, its vision is tangible.
