The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) building by Zaha Hadid Architects is located at the heart of the American University of Beirut. Designed to be discovered gradually, the building is integrated into the beautiful landscape scenery, and connected by pathways between old banyan trees and palms it creates a link to the public spaces and the surrounding facilities in the campus. It is Zaha’s first completed project in the Arab world.
