Pôle Raquettes Jacques Donnay

Designed by Damien Surroca Architectes, the Pôle Raquettes Jacques Donnay brings several racket sports together within a public facility near Lille. The programme includes indoor and outdoor tennis courts, badminton, squash, table tennis, a Basque pelota hall, a clubhouse, and associated technical spaces.
The building addresses both the street and the landscape of the Deûle. Its volumes create a clear urban edge while opening toward planted outdoor areas, exterior courts, and the canal-side setting. The project balances the scale of a sports hall with careful attention to light, movement, and the everyday life of the club.
Concrete, steel, glass, and folded anodized aluminium façades give the complex a robust presence, while natural light helps distinguish the different playing halls and shared spaces inside.
