Maison des Landes is a private residence set lightly within the pine forest near the Atlantic coast. Two dark timber volumes raised on slender supports keep the building visually restrained and allow the ground plane to remain open beneath it. Timber screens temper the light, add privacy, and give the elevations a quiet depth, while generous glazing maintains a close relationship with the surrounding trees. The house reads as a careful response to its landscape: discreet, measured, and attentive to the conditions of living among the pines.
