Rue Castagnary Residence

Set on a long, narrow plot in Paris, Rue Castagnary Residence by TANK Architectes brings together student housing, accommodation for young workers, and social housing in a compact urban building. The project combines small living units with shared facilities, creating a sequence of spaces that supports everyday life across the different residences.

The slender volume rises above shops and entrance halls, its measured profile responding carefully to the constraints of the site. A light-filtering façade brings daylight into the rooms while preserving privacy, giving the building a calm, filtered presence on the street. Toward the rear, the narrow plan opens onto the garden, introducing a quieter interior depth within the dense block.
