Charles Kettaneh & Nicolas Fayad

Founded by Charles Kettaneh and Nicolas Fayad, EAST Architecture Studio combines architectural practice with research, writing, and teaching. The two founders studied at the American University of Beirut before continuing their education and professional work between New York, Boston, and Beirut.

Their work is shaped by close attention to context, memory, and the built traces of the twentieth century. Across projects, exhibitions, teaching, and publications, EAST approaches architecture as a way to rethink inherited structures and imagine forms of continuity.
