Rijksmuseum

The renovation of the Rijksmuseum combines the restoration of Pierre Cuypers’ historic building with a contemporary reorganisation of its galleries and public spaces. Wilmotte & Associés developed the museum’s interior design and museography. Restrained materials, unified colours and highly transparent display cases preserve the building’s neo-Gothic and Renaissance character while placing the artworks at the centre of the visitor experience.
