Carré Janson

A five-year journey following the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Carré Janson in Tournai. Located in the city’s UNESCO district, beside Notre-Dame Cathedral and its belfry, the project brings new life to a historic ensemble in the heart of the city. Once connected to the Anciens Prêtres site and the former cathedral quarter, Carré Janson transforms this heritage setting into a renewed cultural and civic destination. Over time, the series documents the gradual evolution of the site, from restoration and reconstruction to the creation of public spaces, exhibition areas, an auditorium, an urban garden, and panoramic terraces overlooking Tournai and the cathedral.
