Location: Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Located on the Kirchberg plateau in Luxembourg City, the project examines how collective housing can achieve urban density while retaining some of the spatial variety and individuality associated with the family house. Eighty-two dwellings are organised through a modular system that allows for a range of layouts, including duplexes and split-level apartments, with careful attention to orientation, daylight, views and private outdoor space. From the building massing to the façades and apartment types, the project sets up a flexible residential framework designed to adapt over time to different ways of living.
