Groupe Scolaire La Motte

The new Groupe Scolaire La Motte is conceived as a civic and educational anchor within a rapidly developing district of Lesquin. Rather than treating the school as an isolated object, TANK uses the project to reinforce connections between the residential neighbourhood, the historic town centre and the surrounding landscape. Shared spaces are designed to remain accessible beyond school hours, extending the building’s role into the wider community, while ecological and landscaped continuities structure the relationship between architecture, pedagogy and public space. A simple organisation of stacked volumes, robust materials and adaptable interiors supports both long-term durability and future changes in use.
