Inside Bureau Bas Smets

Bureau Bas Smets is a Brussels-based landscape architecture practice founded in 2007, working at the intersection of landscape, ecology and urban transformation. The studio approaches territory as a living system, developing projects that use climate, water, vegetation and topography to create more resilient environments. This portrait of the practice forms part of a wider photographic series exploring, in a more intimate way, the studios of the architects and designers who have shaped the Vitra Campus. Rather than documenting only their finished work, the series considers the spaces, tools and collective cultures from which those ideas emerge.
