London’s Common Gardens looks at community gardens and urban farms as spaces of care, learning, and collective action. Developed through a collaboration between London South Bank University and Loughborough Farm, the project connects research, teaching, and local knowledge through workshops, public events, and shared making.
At Loughborough Farm, students and volunteers worked together to build modular planters and a small outdoor stage, supporting gardening workshops, talks, performances, and everyday community use. The garden appears here not simply as green space, but as a shared civic infrastructure for wellbeing, environmental care, and urban commoning.
