Vera Michalski-Hoffmann created the Jan Michalski Foundation for Writing and Literature in her husband’s memory to perpetuate their common commitment to those who devote themselves to the written word. Nestled under a monumental canopy, a campus designed by Mangeat Wahlen Architects houses a library, an auditorium, and writers’ residences designed by Kengo Kuma, Studio Elemental with +2 Architects, Schaub-Zwicky, Rintala-Eggertsson, MK27, Fuhrimann-Hächler, Jean-Gilles Décosterd and Atelier Bonnet.
