Location: Osaka, Japan
Set within Osaka, the French Pavilion for Expo 2025 unfolds as a sequence of thresholds, pauses, and shifting views. A 17-meter-high movable fabric façade filters light and movement, while the looping route moves between enclosed rooms, open air, and garden spaces. The stair, balcony, and layered circulation give the pavilion a theatrical quality, where architecture, atmosphere, and visitor movement remain closely interwoven. Built from prefabricated modular elements, the structure also suggests reuse and disassembly as part of its future life.
