The I Grow Peace Campus in Englewood, Chicago, transforms abandoned houses and vacant lots into places of care, safety, learning, and community life. What began with the rehabilitation of a single house has expanded into a block-based campus that brings together resources for children, families, and residents.
Through renovated homes, gardens, play areas, gathering spaces, and everyday support programmes, the project shows architecture as a tool for repair and connection. Its strength lies not in one signature building, but in the patient transformation of a neighbourhood from within.
