World Trade Center Transportation Hub

The World Trade Center Transportation Hub, widely known as the Oculus, combines a major transit interchange with a monumental public interior in Lower Manhattan. Its soaring steel ribs and operable skylight draw daylight deep into the space, giving the circulation hall a bright, almost ceremonial atmosphere. Connecting PATH trains, subway lines, commercial buildings and pedestrian routes, the project turns a complex piece of infrastructure into a distinctive civic landmark.
