Location: Beijing, China
The China Central Television Headquarters and the adjacent Television Cultural Centre form a dense media complex in Beijing. Rather than adopting the conventional skyscraper model, the CCTV Headquarters is conceived as a continuous three-dimensional loop, binding administration, production, broadcasting, and circulation into a single structure. Its geometry shifts the idea of the tower away from pure verticality toward movement, connection, and exchange.
Alongside it, the TVCC brings together theatres, cinemas, recording studios, exhibition spaces, conference facilities, and a hotel. The pair establishes a broader urban and cultural system, where technical, public, and representational functions meet in one intertwined ensemble.
