CTF Finance Centre

Rising in Guangzhou’s Pearl River Delta, the CTF Finance Centre by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates is a 530-meter mixed-use tower completed in 2016. As the tallest building in Guangzhou, it marks a major point on the city’s expanding skyline and reflects the scale of its economic growth.

The building combines offices, residences, hotel accommodation, retail, restaurants, cinema facilities, a ballroom, and a sky lobby in a vertical sequence that shifts from public program to private occupation as it rises. At ground level and below, it connects with transport, underground retail, pedestrian routes, and the surrounding urban fabric, giving the tower a role that extends beyond its height.

KPF describes the tower as a crystalline form, and the glazed terracotta façade gives it a bright, finely textured presence. The ceramic piers reference Chinese craft traditions while also providing shading, preserving views, and helping the building perform in Guangzhou’s tropical climate. Certified LEED Gold, the CTF Finance Centre brings together density, environmental performance, and a clear architectural identity within one of southern China’s most active commercial districts.
